3D ART

3D Modeling, Texturing and Rendering is the art of building believable worlds and objects through form, materials and lighting. It can be anything from product renders and movie VFX to stylized game assets mixing 2D and 3D. In general there are two schools of 3D; realtime for games (optimized, good topology, efficient materials) or pre-rendered for VFX and marketing (fidelity, detail, lighting). Both rely on strong design and texture knowledge.

2019 SHOWREEL

A selection of renders done in Octane Standalone on a GTX 1060 card. The houses are modeled in Maya and textured in Substance Painter. The mountains are heightmaps from World Creator, and the plants and people are assets from libraries like Speedtree, CG Axis, etc.

Trim Sheet PBR

The Roughness, AO and Metalness maps are packed into the individual RGB channels for optimization. Trim textures are memory efficient and ideal for game development.

ArcViz Renders

3D Visualization of exteriors rendered in Octane Standalone. The houses, mountains and some props I created from scratch. Some of the other 3D models used for renderings are from Megascans and other online asset sources. Rendered in linear color space and composited in Photoshop.
