Animation and Technical Animation involve bringing elements to life through movement, combined with rigging, meshing and optimization for real-time use. This includes splitting assets and exporting to Spine, creating sequences, backgrounds, symbols, FX and 3D-rendered elements.


Bison - Game Symbol Animation

Animation only: Created 17 animations for this slot game feature symbol, including Idle, Collect, Cycle Wins and 3 unique Activation Stages. The assets were split and organized in Photoshop before being exported to Spine for rigging and meshing. Some VFX assets and sequences were based on stock elements.

Chests - Game Symbols

Art + Animation: Painted 3 unique Feature Chests for a slot game and created 20 animations, including idle, collect, and 3 activation sequences with 5 looping upgrade stages. The assets were designed in Photoshop and exported to Spine for rigging and meshing. The fire VFX were based on a stock element.

Coin Collect - Game Symbol

Art + Animation: Designed and 3D sculpted a Coin Collect game symbol, used both as an in-game symbol and as a fountain coin particle sequence. Sculpted and texture painted in 3D Coat, then sent via Blender and Substance Painter for retopo and map baking. Rotations were animated in Blender, exported as EXR, and slightly edited in After Effects.

3D Chest - Texture Painted

Art + Animation: The design was first sketched in Photoshop, then modeled as a low poly in Blender. A high-poly bevel was created for normal baking in Substance Painter, with maps baked into diffuse before being hand-painted in 3D-Coat. Rendered on an unlit shader and animated in Blender using rigid body simulation. Includes sound.

Anubis - Character Animation

Animation only: Full-body character animation and rig with meshed skin weights and IK constraints. Neutral looping idle. Painted over and filled in assets that were hard cut. Created as part of a test.
